For that purpose, our sister company, Arabian Company for Water and Power (ACWA Power) was specially established, with a mandate to form focused joint ventures with leading international firms and to ensure expert technical and structural delivery.

Having established a remarkable track record with numerous successful conclusions of major support projects with Saudi Aramco – primarily in onshore pipeline construction, we expanded our operation in this area into a full-fledged business division at the turn of the century. Our dedicated subsidiary, Al-Muhaidib Petroleum, which owns GPS Arabia and Al-Muhaidib Kencana, a joint venture with Malaysian Kencana HL, thus offers integrated service packages – either as lump-sum Engineering, Procurement, & Construction (EPC) contracts or as tailored Lease, Operate, & Maintain (LOM) structures – as well as turnkey solutions in all areas of process equipment and plant supply, from integrated (FEED) to engineering, fabrication, and commissioning.

Infrastructure

Since winning and successfully fulfilling the first Saudi private sector BOT contract for the rehabilitation and upgrade of the Jeddah Industrial City wastewater management system – a traditionally public sector led type of assignment – among other major projects, we’ve expanded our involvement in infrastructure, turning it into an independent business division, comprising 4 stand-alone and highly qualified departments:
